OPI AVOJUICE in Coconut Melon Juicie
This lotion is created by OPI, “The world leader in professional nail care.” Well, they sure got lotion right. To my knowledge, the best place to get this lotion is in beauty supply stores. I go to ULTA for it, but you may need to buy it online if you’re in Wyoming or Susanville (love you guys!).
The scent of Coconut Melon is not perfumy at all. It gives me a deja vu experience of the Bahamas… without having ever enjoyed the real thing in the first place. The texture is light and silky. It moisturizes with no stickiness or tack and fits perfectly in the cup holder of your car. Leaves your hands almost powdery-soft. I need a ton of it because of the type of work I do. You know, washing hands all day long between Mochas and Frappuccinos.
This is one beauty product that is definitely worth a couple extra dollars, and you are not limited to my choice of flavor: OPI offers it in Orange Almond, Japanese Garden, Jasmine, Vanilla Spice, Cran & Berry, Grapefruit, Berry, and Peach.

we move from one pain to another
through seasons, hoping for relief
whether it’s in a muscle
a tendon, ligament
a pinched spirit
a broken nerve
the line at the dmv
which never seems to shorten on a day
you needed.
headache
neckache
backache
heartache
toothache
stomachache
friendache
mindache
the list keeps moving. each of us is
affected,
complaining,
and I wonder
do we hope the complaint will heal us?

Julianne ranks in the 96th percentile in language for children her age. Here are some things I’ve kept written down to preserve.
Enjoy.
.
“How does that burst your bubbles?”
“From trees to bush
A soft frosty white
It’s almost like
It’s a frosty bite.”
“It’s a pretty, poury day.”
“Can I still keep the midget arms?”
“You yawn like an elephant.”
“Ask your doctor to put in a new brain that’s not so broken with headache.”
“You can’t see it, but she has angel kisses.”
*She just sang the following to me, which she created to “help preschoolers”:
Can you take a one and a two and take them out to dance?
Can you take a three and shake no-no?
Can you take a four and stomp on it?
Can you take a five and put it in your pocket?
Can you take a six and clap for it?
Can you take a seven and wash it up?
Can you take an eight rinse it out?
Can you take a nine and dry it off?
Can you take a ten and sing to it?
