NaPoMo day 22—DELICACY by Linda Dreiling

April 22, 2008 · 6 Comments

I wrote this poem in 2007 while stopped at a red light on Garden of the Gods.

Delicacy drops from
the dark sky
and I am not comforted.

The warmth in my clothes
can’t infuse my heart
with heat.

A wall is high and hurtful.
It coldly mocks
any hope within me.
